United States Cold Storage (USCS) Facility Solar Project, Tulare, CA (2020)
EnterSolar is proposing to develop an 810 kW DC photovoltaic array for the facility owned and operated by the USCS in Tulare, CA. The arrays will consist of solar panels installed on pile-driven steel structures, various pad top electrical equipment, such as switchgear, transformers, and inverters, and overhead or underground electrical circuits. The arrays will be tied directly to the facility’s electrical infrastructure behind the meter. The project is intended to produce approximately 25 percent of the current electrical energy demand of U.S. Cold Storage facility in the City of Tulare.
In partnership with the Tectonic Engineering , the civil firm for the project, GEPermit has been retained to conduct environmental analysis and the CEQA IS/MND document, as well as various site surveys and studies. The project is expected to begin construction in September 2020.
