Environmental Planning Intern - Pico Rivera, CA
- Research, review and compile technical information as it relates to Environmental Assessments and Environmental Reviews.
- Perform research for technical studies.
- Attend occasional meetings and site visits.
- Prepare basic environmental assessments.
- Edit for grammar, content, consistency, and organization of technical reports and letters.
- Prepare graphics/maps, tables and figures; preparation of progress reports; delivery and/or mailing transmittal forms; coordinating meetings/schedules/project deadlines
- Complete necessary paperwork regarding environmental documents based off of the Housing and Urban Development (HUD) project standards.
- Perform various forms of human resources tasks to assist GEPermit in developing and growing its business.
- Assist upper-management in small tasks to help everyday functionality of the business.
- Ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in Planning, Public Administration, Environmental Science or related field.
- Exceptional writing and grammar skills
- Attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Highly-organized self-starter with the ability to handle and prioritize multiple assignments.
- Competent computer skills (a strong knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe-Acrobat.
- Highly professional and articulate. Eager to learn new concepts.
- A valid California Class C driver’s license, which must be maintained throughout employment, is required at time of appointment, or the ability to arrange necessary and timely transportation for field travel. Employees may be required to use their own vehicle.
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (no DUI’s in the last 7 years).
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
