EDA Environmental Narrative – City of Guadalupe Roya Theatre (2021- Current)
The City of Guadalupe has made an application for grant funding to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Economic Development Administration (EDA) to revitalize the Guadalupe Theater. The U.S. Department of Commerce Economic Development Administration (EDA) is considering a request for Federal assistance from the City of Guadalupe to rehabilitate and revitalize the Royal Theatre in the City of Guadalupe. Pursuant to the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the National Historic Preservation Act (NHPA), EDA is conducting an environmental assessment (EA) of the potential of the proposed project to affect the environment and/or historic properties.
GEPermit was retained by the City of Guadalupe to support preparation of the required Environmental Narrative (EN) document as well as coordinating various agency consultation processes. GEPermit completed environmental information related to the Royal Theatre renovation grant application in 2021. Project had two phases: Initial grant application and post grant award phase. Upon successfully completing the first phase, project is currently being reviewed for environmental compliance before full further grant approval. GEPermit provided following services:
- Draft Environmental Narrative
- Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966 (NHPA) SHPO and THPO consultation
- Public notices
- GIS mapping
