Quality Engineer I (Full Time/Contract – Southern California)
- The role will support the Client’s Quality Management team
- Main responsibility would be to review assessments of manufacturers to verify proper documentation and ensure manufactures are following industry and technical standards
- Support onboarding of new manufacturers to approved manufacturer list
- Review of documentation to applicable requirements, practices, QA/QC policies, performance standards and specifications
- Support various department needs
- Work with Engineering Lead for all technical aspects of the projects
- Coordinates activities concerned with technical developments and scheduling
- Work will be remote during the current environment, potentially requiring in office support in Pico Rivera, CA once the current situation improves.
- Minimum 1-3 years of engineering experience
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Ability to work with multiple discipline projects
- Ability to read and interpret documents; safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to identify create design in drawings
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Minimum BS Degree in Engineering or relevant field required
- Excellent communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Must be able to work within a team to accomplish organizational goals and have strong organization and time management skills with the ability to meet priorities and deadlines.
- Must be able to organize thoughts and display a high level of professionalism and integrity.
- A valid California Class C driver’s license, which must be maintained throughout employment, is required at time of appointment, or the ability to arrange necessary and timely transportation for field travel. Employees may be required to use their own vehicle.
- Must be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Report (no DUI’s in the last 7 years).
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug test.
